Michael Bowes QC and Simon Dodds will be giving a talk to students at the BPP law school on 22 February.
The event is the second of two FSLA visits to BPP which, it is hoped, will encourage students to join the association. FSLA hopes to arrange similar visits to other law schools overt he coming months.
Michael will be speaking about his experiences as a lead prosecuting counsel for the FSA in its high profile criminal market abuse cases. He was lead counsel for the FSA in R v McQuoid (including on appeal from sentence) and will lead the FSA team in the forthcoming prosecution, R v Rimmington & Ors (due to be heard in the Spring of 2010).
Simon is General Counsel at Deutsche Bank and will be speaking about insider dealing: how it is viewed, and how it affects the industry and market participants such as Deutsche Bank.
