FSLA essay competition: Who should the courts protect: clients who have entrusted a firm with their money or the creditors of the firm?

Law students, recent graduates, trainee solicitors and pupils are invited to enter FSLA's 2009 essay competition.

Entrants should submit a 1,500 word essay on the question 'Who should the courts protect: clients who have entrusted a firm with their money or the creditors of the firm?' to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  by 1 February 2010.

The competition will be judged by Tim Herrington (Chairman of the Regulatory Decisions Committee), The Hon Mr Justice Blair, and Professor Eva Lomnicka (King's College London).

First prize is £2,000 plus a six week internship at the FSA (two weeks with the Regulatory Decisions Committee, two weeks with the Enforcement Division, and two weeks with the General Counsel's Division). Second prize is £1,000. Third prize is £500.
