Essay competition winners Print E-mail

ImageWe are delighted to announce the winners of our essay competition which asked 'Does the law provide sufficient measures to take against directors of banks that fail?'.

The prize-giving was held during our summer drinks event, with prizes awarded by the judges to:

  • First place: Oliver Loach - a trainee solicitor at Taylor Wessing.
  • Second place: John Enoch - a student on the LPC at BPP.
  • Third place: Daniel James Smith - also a student on the LPC at BPP.

Many thanks to all our entrants, to the judges, Professor Eva Lomnicka of King's College, London, Tim Herrington, Chairman of the FSA's RDC, and Mr Justice Blair.
Copies of the winning essays will be available to members shortly in the FSLA Library (see link in the menu above). The prize-winning essay will also be published in a future edition of Butterworths' Journal of International Banking and Financial Law.
