  • foster co-operation between the various financial services stakeholders, including practitioners, academics, industry, regulators and government.

exchanging views and ideas

  • FSLA provides a forum for the open exchange of views and the dissemination of knowledge and ideas in financial services law and regulation.

membership

  • Members include solicitors, barristers, academics, judges and non-lawyers working in the industry who have an interest in financial services law issues. We believe that this diversity of expertise benefits our members by allowing contact and discussion with parts of the industry that is not always possible in the normal course of day-to-day work.
  • FSLA encourages the membership of students, trainees and pupils with a view to engaging them in issues currently facing the industry and providing a better understanding of career opportunities within the sector.

events

  • We host a variety of events. These range from lectures and panel presentations on issues of general interest to seminars and workshops on areas of more specialist interest. Throughout the year FSLA will also host a number of social events. Talks and seminars allow members to collect CPD and are generally free for members.
  • The executive committee is always happy to receive ideas on topics for future events and will seek to ensure that all sections of the industry are represented.

aims
