			<title>BPP law school event</title>

Michael Bowes QC and Simon Dodds will be giving a talk to students at the BPP law school on 22 February.


The event is the second of two FSLA visits to BPP which, it is hoped, will encourage students to join the association. FSLA hopes to arrange similar visits to other law schools overt he coming months.

			<title>FSLA members talk to BPP students about working in financial services</title>

Members of FSLA will attend BPP law school on Monday 25th January and speak to students about life as a lawyer working in financial services. The event will be chaired by Professor Eva Lomnicka, King&amp;rsquo;s College London, barrister, 4 New Square and member of the FSLA Advisory Board. Speakers will talk to students about life at the bar, in-house at a bank, in private practice as a City solicitor and working at the FSA. It is hoped the event will attract students to join FSLA.

			<title>FSLA and Social Mobility Foundation launch flagship work placement programme</title>

The first two FSLA/SMF work placement students completed their two week placement in July 2009. Hafsa Patel and Yvonne Dang, both 17, and of London, were selected from 500 SMF students to take part in the flag-ship scheme launched this year.
